Game Time! Dinosaurs Gotta Love Me! Game Review

Dinosaurs: Gotta Love Me! Game Review

Year: 1991

Ages: 6+

Players: 2-4 (For the purpose of this review, 2 people played the game)

Set Up Time: 4 minutes

Playing Time: Took us 9 minutes

Object: Be the first to feed baby his food or bottles and try to make him smile.

Review:
+ I love that not only is it a 3D board, but it's a replica of their kitchen in the TV show. Fantastic idea.
+ You can play as Charlene, Robbie, Fran or Earl.
+ Not only is the board 3D but there are more interactive pieces with it. Going around the board you collect creatures which you place into the top fridge slot one at a time. Each time you put one in the fridge slot you spin the spinner on the side of the fridge once, which will either release a dice or not. If you get the dice released, then it will land on a picture showing if you get a jar of baby food, a baby bottle or nothing for Baby. You take the food/bottles (if the dice says you get them) and when you get to Baby on the board you put the food into the slot in front of him and turn the spinner above his head once per item you put in the slot. If it lands with Baby's face smiling than you did a good job and you win. If not, than you will need to try collect more baby food/bottles and try again.

- Worst thing with 3D board games is that there is a much greater chance of the cardboard ripping or tearing and having to use tape to keep it together, which could alter the functionality of the pieces. With these 3D pieces also having interactive features, it could significantly change the ability to play the game properly.

Overall:
In the end, this is my new favorite game that I didn't even know existed. I loved having the 3D board be the actual kitchen set from the show as well as getting able to play the game as Charlene, Robbie, Fran or Earl. The interactive 3D features added in something extra and made the game more interesting. 24 years later and luckily Kyle's 3D board still holds up and as long as it continues to hold up, this will be a game played in my house for many years to come!
